FEATURES; All standard and correct roll marks proofs and nothing more. All stampings and roll marks are clear, deep, and even, with desirable large S&W trade mark on right side plate. Original blued finish with very strong and appealing case colors, “Micro-Click” Adjustable rear sight with .146 black square notch rear blade. Front sight post is accomplished with a .10-inch Partridge setting a top a grooved full length sight rib, A pinned six-inch barrel with Excellent bore and strong sharp rifling, a fluted 6-round cylinder with recessed chambers, the .312 Trigger is a grooved with a .375 semi-target hammer, both hammer and trigger have exceptional case colors, Revolver sports grained Walnut “football” cut target stocks with S&W medallions, Stocks  show no ware or handling marks to speak off. Very nice target 17 indeed! Built 1971 on the 3-screw Square butt K-frame, Serial number 1K76xxx. CONDITION: Very good condition. The blued finish is all original. Don’t let that pronounced drag line fool you, it’s the only negative issue with the gun. Action is tight and timing looks right. Single action trigger pull came in at a consistent icy 2lbs. 5ozs. With no take up or creep. Splatter shield shows little drag line, wear, or brass impact at the hammer noise area. Little loss of finish at sharp points or high spots. There is no wear on cylinder arm, “pawl or pawl teeth’, Yoke, or “Crane” shows little if any loss of finish at hinge area, no lateral or end play in crane, cylinder latch is tight and operates in a positive smooth manor, forcing cone and top strap show no erosion or adverse wear. Whatever issue caused the pronounced drag line, has been corrected. An easy touch up.
